NEW and RETURNING LAs – please make sure to answer all questions before submission.
New Learning Assistants (NLAs), in addition to the required work outlined by your faculty course mentor, are required to attend a weekly LA seminar (1hr) during the first semester of their service. If students are unable to attend due to course conflicts – this requirement may be suspended by the LA Accelerator Program on an individual basis for 1 semester ONLY.
Returning Learning Assistants (RLAs), in addition to the required work outlined by your faculty course mentor, must complete volunteer hours during the semester at one or more of our STEM outreach activities as well as attend 2 or more Discipline-Based Educational Research Seminars.

Learning Assistants (LAs) are undergraduates in the College of Science who are interested in unique educational opportunities such as participation in undergraduate instruction, course innovation, peer-to-peer tutoring and mentoring (etc.) and the chance to work closely with COS faculty. Come to this information session to learn how you can be involved!
Students are invited to learning about becoming an LA in the College of Science.
Faculty are invited to learning about mentoring an LA and how working with one can help increase student engagement in undergraduate classes.
