We’re starting our regular general body meetings with a bang! Our first regular meeting will showcase Lab Stories from a couple of graduate students who will share their super glamorous, messy, mistake-filled, exhausting, and rewarding real-life lab adventures.

Map-off flyer

Map-off: The Department of Geography and Geoinformation Science is hosting a Map-off: A competitive mapping experience where George Mason University will square off with George Washington University. Using Open Street Maps, mappers will be able to choose from various projects to help close data gaps in the mapping community.

National Geographic will sponsor a prize for the most productive contributors. Tickets are free via Eventbrite.

Registration will be on the first floor atrium of Exploratory Hall. Mappers with all skill levels are welcome; training will be provided if needed. Pizza will also be provided.
