Science Slam History

Science Slams were popularized in Germany in the late 2000’s and have since spread internationally. Multi-level competitions for PhDs, and kids, have also become popular. Science Slams have only recently come to the United States, with an event hosted by the Space Foundation in Colorado in 2013.

In fact, the North American finals for the EURAXESS competition was held at American University in September 2014! We’ll keep you notified about upcoming events in the area, or events that are live streaming online.
