Provost Multidisciplinary Seed Grant Awards 2015

The goal of the first annual Provost Multidisciplinary Research Initiatives request for proposals was to provide seed grants that will support cutting-edge initiatives put forward by multidisciplinary teams of investigators across academic units. A total of 60 proposals submitted; nearly all of them involved faculty from two or more colleges/schools. In total, 14 proposals were considered to be Highly Competitive (7 Tier 1 and 7 Tier 2) and will be cumulatively awarded $525,000. All Tier 1 proposals included collaborations among at least 3 colleges, whereas Tier 2 proposals included 2, or more colleges.
