Help us support our new graduates on one of the most important days of their academic careers. Volunteer for positions during the ceremony and after party.
Refreshments for Volunteers
A light lunch breakfast is available for volunteers in the locker room before shifts begin.
Light refreshments will be available for volunteers in the lower level suite after the processional ends. Do not take the refreshments from the suite, as guests may see you eating and wonder where to obtain the food or drink. (Please plan to bring your own snacks if you have special dietary needs.)
Each volunteer will be asked to wear their College of Science Mind Blown t-shirt, if you do not have one, you will be given one at sign-in along with a nametag.
Black slacks are appropriate (no shorts or jeans, please).
Most volunteers will be outdoors prior to the start of the ceremony and moving actively on the pavement and uneven surfaces, plan to wear comfortable shoes (clean tennis shoes are fine).
Be prepared for the possibility of several hours in the sun or light rain. Please bring an umbrella, poncho or raincoat, and sunscreen.
Training and orientation for volunteers will be on Monday, May 7 at 2:45 p.m. in Exploratory Hall 3301. Specific tasks will be assigned, and additional volunteer slots will be filled.
