Join the Department of Geography and Geoinformation Science our annual GIS Day event! We will showcase student work throughout the day in our poster and map competitions with presentations at 12pm. Vendors will be available for students to meet with in our career and internship fair from 10am to 2pm. We highly encourage attendees to come prepared with up-to-date resumes! Also from 10am to 2pm, guest speakers will give talks on this year’s theme: Big Data. There will be a free buffet lunch at 12pm and a student award ceremony at 2pm to wrap up the day.
Hosted by George Mason University’s Department of Geography and Geoinformation Science, this year’s conference theme, “Urbanization: Economic, Environmental, Health, and Social Challenges,” will include diverse sessions and panels that represent MAD-members’ current work professionally, academically, and internationally.
