The Software Developer will primarily be responsible for frontend UI/UX development, but will also support a wide range of development tasks. You will work directly with our customer and alongside analysts whose mission is to discover knowledge in vast amounts of geospatial data—data visualization and interaction will be elevated by this position, so your impact on improving current process will be dramatic.
Design and implement front end for geospatial web applications.
Lay out a vision for a product’s user experience using wire-frames and mockups that describe workflow behavior and user interactions.
Interact directly with analysts and other technologist to ensure applications and tools meet the needs of the customer.
Maintenance and enhancement of existing custom applications.
US Citizen required or Active TS/SCI preferred.
B.S./B.A. in Software Design, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Science or related field.
2+ years’ experience in UI/UX design.
2+ years’ experience in Python (to include Django, Flask/Bottle, etc.).
Understanding of Geospatial data and the development of geospatially based interfaces.
Must be motivated, self-driven team player who can interact well with others and advise/consult with other team members on software development related issues.
