Jon Goldstein is a PhD candidate in the CSS department. Jon graduated from Cornell University with an undergraduate degree in Computer Science and Economics and has worked in the defense industry for 7 years in modeling and simulation of both physical and social systems.
Jon’s research interests include emergent macroeconomics, financial economics, and game theory. He has published a paper with another graduate student in the International Journal of Critical Infrastructure Protection applying a game theoretic model of cyber-security investment to empirical networks of contractor-subcontractor relationships.
Currently, Jon is working on modeling aspects of the Financial Crisis with another graduate student and several professors. This is also the topic of his dissertation research.
