Eric’s undergraduate background is in foreign affairs, with a specialization on Russia and the former-Soviet republics, from the University of Virginia. He has interest in a broad range of social science domains but a particular focus on national security and asymmetric conflict. His primary modeling focus in the program has been on historical events and processes, such as Viking raids on Anglo-Saxon England and British counter-insurgency tactics during the Second Anglo-Boer War. Additionally, Eric is taking elective course work in the Department of Geography and GeoInformation Science to discover new ways to combine agent-based models and GIS. Eric is also jointly enrolled in the MAIS CSS program and has completed the CSS Graduate Certificate.
