Aspiring Scientists Summer Internship Program 2013
During the 2013 Aspiring Scientists Summer Internship Program (ASSIP) orientation, artist Rebecca Kamen challenged students to create a work of art which reflected their summer research. Students in the ASSIP cohorts work with a mentor throughout their summer experience which culminates with a presentation of their research at the annual poster session and award ceremony.
Applications for ASSIP 2014 are open until February 15, 2014.
The George Mason University Aspiring Scientists Summer Internship Program (ASSIP) was established in 2007 by Dr. Lance Liotta, Dr. Emanuel Petricoin III, and Amy VanMeter for high school and undergraduate students to gain hands on experience in laboratories at the Prince William and Fairfax campuses of George Mason University.
