Walter McLeod to Chair COS Alumni Chapter
Walter McLeod, MS Chemistry ’94, will chair the College of Science Alumni Chapter and work closely with the college’s Assistant Dean of Development Dee Dee Fusco.
The College of Science Alumni Chapter aims to provide opportunities for alumni to re-engage with the College of Science, to share their stories and to provide insight to current students.
The college chapter will allow alumni to better connect current student with mentorship and jobs as well as help the college expand their internal presence with the community and to assist with creating potential new streams of collaboration and support.
Walter L. McLeod has over 20 years of executive experience in corporate and government strategic relations.
Mr. McLeod is the Founder and President of Eco Capitol Policy LLC (Eco Capitol LLC) an energy and environment consulting firm where he serves as a senior advisor to several energy companies and trade associations. He is also a founder and Principal of Eco Capital Investments (Eco Capital LLC), a boutique energy investment firm. He was a junior partner candidate with Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers (KPCB) Green Tech Partners Investment Team.
Mr. McLeod is the recipient of two Vice-Presidential “Hammer Awards” for reinventing federal environmental policy and is considered a national expert on energy and natural resource policy. He has testified before the United States Congress and is the primary author of legislation passed by unanimous consent in the 110th Congress.
He serves on several boards and advisory committees, including the American Council on Renewable Energy (ACORE) – Infrastructure and Power Generation committee.
