New Optional Practical Training (OPT)Regulations*

What does this mean for Mason students?

* F-1 academic students who receive science, technology,
engineering, and mathematics (STEM) degrees and who receive an
initial grant of 12 months OPT may apply for a 17-month extension
for a maximum of 29 months OPT

* To be eligible for the 17-month OPT extension, a student must have
received a degree in one of the following Science Technology
Engineering and Math (STEM) fields:
o Computer Science Applications
o Life Sciences

We are a dedicated-to-the-student school in Herndon, Virginia needing kind, dependable biology teachers with teaching experience to work with our 7th - 12th grade students. Our classes average 4/class, but we also have 1/1 tutoring sessions, during the school day. All lesson plans and tests have already been done for you. We just need your dedication and exuberance for biology and science. Salary is based on education and experience. BA required + Master’s degree or you must be in the Master’s program.

POSITION AVAILABLE: Small Private Medical Practice in need of Administative Staff

Annandale Family Medicine a private medical practice is searching for a front office customer service representative. This is a full time position which includes answering the phones (approximately 100 calls per day per person) triaging calls and questions to the appropriate individuals, and scheduling appointments. This position also includes pulling and filing patient charts, sorting mail and other duties as assigned.
