1. The Council minutes of 1 November 2007 were approved.

2. Senior Associate Dean Evans Mandes kindly joined the Council to discuss several topics. There was a discussion on cross listing of courses including FTE, joint teaching of courses, enrollment targets and how these issues are correlated to resources. Cross listing is not considered much of a concern for COS and there is not a standard policy for these arrangements. In addition, Dean Mandes discussed enrollment targets for spring semester and both the short and long term budget situation.

3. The Council discussed the role it might take in COS reorganization and Promotion and Tenure among possible topics. Members were encouraged to solicit their respective departments on prospective issues for the Council.

4. The next Council meeting will be on 5 February 2008 at 1 pm.
