- IT 103 Introduction to Computing
- MUSI 415 Music in Computer Technology
These courses have been approved to fulfill all components of the IT proficiency requirement except for ethics:
- AVT 180 Computers in the Creative Arts
- CS 112 Computer Science I
- PHYS 251 Introduction to Computer Techniques in Physics
- SOCI 410 Social Survey and Attitude and Opinion Management
- PSYC 300 Statistics in Psychology AND PSYC 301 Research Methods in Psychology AND PSYC 372 Physiological Psychology
(all three required)
These courses have been approved to fulfill the ethics component of the IT proficiency requirement:
- CS 105 Computer Ethics and Society (1 credit)
- CS 305 Ethics and Law for the Computing Professional
- ENGR 107 Engineering Fundamentals (2 credits)
- IT 304 IT and the Global Economy
- PHIL 112 Ethics and the Cybersociety (1 credit)
